William Long-Caviness Obituary

William Drake Long-Caviness, infant of Wytheville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He is preceded in death by his greatgrandparents, Leonard William and Mildred Agnes Long. He is survived by his parents, Agnes Janette Long and Raymond Lee Caviness, both of Wytheville; sister, Abigail Janette Long, of Wytheville; grandparents, Dreama Scott Long, of Rural Retreat, David William Long, of Galax, and George Raymond and Judy Caviness, of Wytheville; great-grandparents, William J. and Mary Scott, of Wytheville, and Imogene Caviness, of Hillsville; greatgreat-grandparents, Velma D. Cline, of Wytheville, and Hugh and Jettie Porter, of Max Meadows; aunts and uncles, David Andrew and Rebecca Cole Long, of Sugar Grove, Stacy Holbrook, of Wytheville, and Misty Caviness, of Wytheville; and cousin, David Samuel Long, of Sugar Grove. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday July 31, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Crockett. Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
