Raymond Hylton Obituary

Raymond H. Hylton, 85, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. He was a member of Faith Life Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II. He was the owner ANRAY Refrigeration in New York and later retired from the Kroger Company. Raymond was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Anastasia E. Hylton; one daughter, Loraine Hylton; two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Maureen A. and Charles Crook, Dolores L. and Lewis Hurd Jr.; two granddaughters, Courtney Clark and her husband, David, Kayla Bowes and her husband, Andy; two grandsons, Jason Crook, Ryan Hurd; four greatgranddaughters, Ryanna Clark, Harmony Bowes, MaKenzie Bowes, Gracelynn Clark; and one sister, Lucille Secrist. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, August 7, 2009, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Johnny Basham officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's East Chapel, 540-977-3909.
