I just found out about your Mother. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mother was a grand lady. I had talked to her several times after Mother died. I have such wonderful memories of your Mother and Father growing up as your next door neighbor on Richland Avenue. I know your parents are together now walking hand in hand. My prayers are with you and your entire family during this said time.

WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED BY THE LOSS OF OUR DEAR FRIEND OF 56 YEARS. THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES WERE THE ONES WE HAD LIVING ACROSS THE STREET FROM HELEN AND ELMER. IN RECENT YEARS IT WAS OUR FREQUENT PHONE CALLS THAT KEPT US TOGETHER. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND THOUGHTS.

Helen was the first "friend" I met when we moved to Roanoke. She was my best friend and neighbor, my evening walking partner and my yard sale'n guru. She loved our daughters and was so very kind to them. Helen, I will miss your tender heart and your enthusiastic and uplifting phone calls. I will always think of you singsonging in our yard when you came to visit "yoohoo, it's just me". May God hold you in His arms lovingly now, and may your family know they were blessed with the Mother I wish I had. You will always be my "mom" in my heart. I know you are holding hands and walking the streets of gold with Elmer now.
with love and prayers,
Ginny Richmond and Mark, Chelsea and Chrissy
