Sharon Lineweaver Obituary

Sharon K. Lineweaver, 68, of Roanoke, Va., died on Thursday, August 13, 2009. She was born September 1, 1940, in Watkins Glen, N.Y., to the late John Albert and Florence Louise Knapp. She is survived by her husband, Robert N. Lineweaver, of Roanoke; and her sister, Linda K. Queen, of Woodstock, Va. She was a registered nurse and served in Staunton, Va., where she was head nurse of the Emergency Room at Kings Daughters Hospital in 1962. In Roanoke, she was head nurse of Neurosurgery in 1963. Currently Mrs. Lineweaver was an active member of the Vinton Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at the Vinton Church of Christ, 2107 Feather Road, Vinton, Va., with Bill Himes officiating. Interment will follow at the Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton, Va., at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Missions Fund of the Vinton Church of Christ. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
