Vicenta Legaspi Abasolo

Vicenta Legaspi Abasolo, 84, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Manila, Philippines, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Surviving are her husband, Alberto Abasolo, of Manila; children, Ernesto L. (Beng) Abasolo, also of Manila, Edith L. Abasolo, and Vangie (Pete) Taylor, all of Roanoke; grandchildren, J.C. Abasolo, Jenna Lyn Abasolo, Emily Taylor, and Madison Taylor; and sister, Lourdes Enriquez, of the Philippines. The family extends their sincere thanks to her primary care physician, Dr. A. Kaushal, Dr. C. Cannon, Cardiologist, the staff of 8 South PCU and the Carilion Hospice Services, Kitty Powers, RN, Frannie Gaeta, BSW, Pastor Charles Hoffler, and Pastor Roger Graves. Also, a special thanks to Vicky Atkins and the Marcelo family for their care, prayers, and just being there for us in our time of need. We will forever treasure their gift of friendship. A memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church by Monsignor Joseph Lehman.
