Debbie Floyd Obituary

Debbie Sue Patsel Neighoff Floyd, 51, of Salem, Va., passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009. She was born on September 30, 1957, in Roanoke, Va., daughter of the late Buford Karl and Elsie Marie Bradley Patsel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Floyd Jr. Mrs. Floyd was an Assistant Teacher for Minnick Education Centers and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her son, Charles Howard Neighoff and his wife, Jessica; god daughter, Karleigh Elizabeth Newby; brother, Carl Dennis Patsel; cousin, Patricia Newby; her three canine companions, Little Man, Nikki and Spot; and numerous friends who will miss her dearly. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2009, at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Andy Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. The family would like to thank Julie Watts and Ginny Crocket from Carilion Hospice for their loving care. A special thank you to Debbie's friend and caregiver, Kelly Weiler, for her loving care and all she has done. Charlie, My prays are with you. Debbie was special to me. I am so sorry that she had to go through all of this.
