Alton Roberts Obituary

Alton Perry (PeeWee) Roberts, 64, of Salem, Va., passed peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 30, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Sarah Roberts. For a number of years he worked with Dodson Exterminating and later he was the owner of PeeWee's Restaurant in Salem. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Mariah Parr Roberts; daughter, Carol R. Bryant; grandsons, Troy Bryant and Greg Frazier; brother, Doug Roberts and wife, Lorraine; twin sisters, Sylvia Wood and husband, George, and Cynthia Bland and husband, Mike; a number of nieces and nephews; special aunt, Jonny Merrill and husband, Buck, of Atlanta; and close friends, Wilma James and her two daughters. In lieu of flowers, please consider a favorite charity. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel. Pastor Jeff Ell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel and Crematory, 540-362-1237.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of peewee. He was a good man to all who knew him.I'm sorry i could not make it to the funeral myself. But he will be missed very much.
