Judith Bowles White

Judith Bowles White, 58, of Narrows, Va., went home to be with God on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at her home. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on May 13, 1951 and was the daughter of Mary Catherine Hager Bowles and the late Aubrey Eugene Bowles. Judy was always helping her family and friends in a number of endeavors, including serving as a volunteer statistician for Little League sports programs in Narrows and Peterstown. But she'll be best remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ernest (Ernie) White, of Narrows; two sons, Gene White and wife, Stacey, of Rich Creek and Jeff White and wife, Nannette, of Peterstown; six grandchildren, Josh, Austin, Nichole, Chase, Reid and Jacob White; three sisters, Patty Graybill and husband, Fred, of Roanoke, Susan Wolfe and husband, Tim, of Christiansburg, and Teresa South and husband, Brian, of Porterville, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows, with the Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.
