Margaret Shelton Prescott

Margaret Shelton Prescott, 78, of Floyd, Va., passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009, at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by two children, Brenda Stevens and Danny Prescott; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Donna Prescott, and Larry and Edna Prescott, all of Floyd; two daughters and son-in-law, Cathy Cundiff, of Dublin, and Margaret and Robert Farmer, of Radford; brother, Robert Lee Shelton, of Florida; her best friends, former husband and his wife, Sherwood and Lois Prescott, of Radford; a special friend, Trish Dalton; and 13 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandchild. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Nathan Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in the Snowville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, September 2, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
