Teresa McCroskey Obituary

Teresa Viador McCroskey, 79, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2009, in Summerville, S.C. Mrs. McCroskey was born on February 18, 1930, in the Philippines and was a daughter of the late Pedro and Dorotea Yerro Viador. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emory Clinton McCroskey; one sister; and one brother. Mrs. McCroskey was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pearisburg and was a retiree of Federal Mogul in Blacksburg. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria May Vass and her husband, Garrie, of Summerville, S.C., Barbara Jean Sizemore and her husband, Joe, of Christiansburg; one son, William Clinton McCroskey and his wife, Pamela, of Pembroke; seven grandchildren, Keith, Regina, Patrick, Cari, Cami, Amanda, Trey; and seven greatgrandchildren, Michael, Jessie, Houston, Kaylie, Cayden, Collin and Ava. The Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at the Holy Family Catholic in Pearisburg at 11 a.m. with Father John Prinelli officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home, Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The family request that memorial donations be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church, 516 Mason Court Dr., Pearisburg, Va. 24134. I was so sorry to learn of the loss of your mom. I remember all the fun times I had at your house and that your mom made me feel like your home was my home. She was such a great lady and she will be missed. Please take care and know the memories will give you strength to get through this very difficult time.
