Doris Crawford Barker

Doris Crawford Barker, 83, a resident of Carrington Place at Wytheville, Va., passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009. She was a native of Greensboro, N.C., wife of Guill Martin Barker Jr. for 52 years prior to his death in February 2001. She was employed for 40 years as an executive secretary at Burlington Industries Headquarters in Greensboro, N.C., and has resided in Wytheville since 2001. She is survived by a very special caregiver, Bonnie Barker; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009, at Mt. Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home.
