Willie Wilson Peterson

Willie Wilson Peterson, 68, of Salem, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Beulah Peterson; his wife, Wendy; and his brother, Marvin Peterson. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Linda Peterson; sister-in-law, Nancy Peterson; his daughter, Rita and husband, Rafayel; his sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Rita Peterson, and Billy Caldwell; four grandchildren, Justin and Macheal Sardarov, Adam and Brittany Peterson; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mary Lovelace. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Gene Koger officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
