Bertha Moore Obituary

Bertha Duncan Moore, 78, of Radford, Va., passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home in God's perfect timing on Monday, August 31, 2009. She attended the West Radford Church of God. Her entire life was an example of love, patterned after the way of Jesus Christ Our Savior. She was our consolation in sorrow, our hope and our strength as she lived a Christian life as an example to all. Bertha is survived by her husband, Paul, her one and only true love. They were married on November 5, 1949, just a little short of 60 years. She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and James Price, of Dublin, and Teresa and Frankie Farley, of Fairlawn; a brother, Lincoln Duncan, of Radford; a sister, Clydie Morris, of Dublin; two grandchildren, Brian Armentrout and Sydney Farley; four stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Price, Christopher Price, Deanna Farley, and Terri Bryd; many nieces and nephews; special niece and caregiver, Connie Lytton, of Dublin; and her beloved pet, "Hope." Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at the West Radford Church of God with the Rev. Jim Walker officiating. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009, at the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends from 5 until the time of the service at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the church. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions may be made to your local church. WE are sorry that Berta has left us. I will miss talking to her and seeing her on the porch. She was a wonderful woman and her love for god and family was great. It shown on her face and her actions.
I have to wonder what God needed her for in heaven and what good will come out of her love. A lot I know, we may never know.
Again we are sorry and hope the knowledge that she is out of pain and with the lord is some help.

Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Paul, Karen and Teresa,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so thankful I was able to visit with Aunt Bertha and Uncle Paul earlier this year. She was a true blessing to all who knew her and our lives are only better by having her involved. I know you are missing her, but hold fast to the faith she has practiced and we will all see her and rejoice together again. I love you all.............
