Mary Radford Obituary

Mary Marie Radford, 74, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Minnie Quintrell; son, Harry Underwood; and brother, Howard Quintrell. Mary worked at Halmode Dress Factory, Wells Furniture, Lane and Company, and Bassett Furniture. Survivors include her daughter, Caroline Wells and husband, Larry; sons, William Underwood Jr. and wife, Debbie, David Underwood and wife, Joyce, Charlie Underwood and wife, Joann, Joe Underwood, and Barbara Martin; sister, Lillian Foley and husband, Lawrence; brother, Everett Quintrell Jr. and wife, Sarah; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Special thanks with love to Robin Hartman. Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Cedar Lawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2009, at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
