Minerva L. Cunningham

Minerva L. Cunningham, 69, of Roanoke, Va., and formerly of Bedford County, Body Camp Community, died on Monday, September 7, 2009. She is survived by two sons. Tom (April) Cunningham and John Cunningham, both of Bedford; one daughter, Betty Bonds and special friend, David, of Bedford; nine grandchildren, Victoria, Daminika, Samantha, Jonathan, A.J., Valisa, Tony, James, and Alan; seven greatgrandchildren; four brothers, Joe Jones and Paul (Marian) Jones, both of Bedford, James Jones and Harry Jones, both of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Isabelle Jones, of Lynchburg, Va.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at New Zion Baptist Church in Bedford County. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends may call the funeral home after 3 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009, for viewing.
