I've only known Jack for two short years, but in those two years he brought much joy and many warm and wonderful memories. He had a kind soul and loved to pick and carry on with me. I visited him often once he moved to the Veteran's Care Center, and I regret not going to see him before he passed. I learned of his passing on the day of the funeral, so I didn't get to say goodbye the way I wanted to, but I know he knows that I love him and will miss him dearly. Thank you, Jack, for being such a special friend.

Jack,
Was a great influiance in my life as a young child in the Montclair neighbor hood. I used to mow his yard and help him in the summers picking peaches and apples on 12 O'clock knob. I have thought about him often in my life and how many special moments we had and him taking me and my brother and sister to Dairy Queen on Peters Creek Road. He was really one of God's angels on this earth and he will be missed.

Uncle Jack was exactly the uncle every little girl wanted. He treated me like a princess, arriving in his shiny convertible. He played Wildwood Flower on his Martin guitar so well that I can still hear it decades later. I have so many wonderful memories of how much he loved all of us children like we were his own. He spoiled his nieces and nephews until one day his own dreams came true. He was so full of love that when he had his own children, Barry, Donna, Brian, and all those grandchildren and great grandchildren, it made him complete. He was so proud of every one of them. He loved to tell stories of their accomplishments and of their strong characters. I think Uncle Jack’s life with his family will be stiff competition for the joy of heaven. He will always be in my heart and I will never forget how lucky I was to have him as my uncle. I would not have changed one thing about my beloved uncle. I will miss you Uncle Jack and I am glad you are freed from the bonds of age. The gleam in your eye made me think your heart never aged one day from that young man with the shiny white convertible.
