William Lucas Obituary

William Edward (Billy) Lucas, 69, of 753 Quick Road in Ruffin, N.C., passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009. Mr. Lucas was born in Caswell County, N.C., to the late Caleb "Cap" Lewis Lucas and Helen Page Lucas. He lived in Roanoke, Va., for many years before returning to Ruffin and was a self employed electrician as well as the owner and operator of several small businesses. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lee Durham Lucas; daughter, Connie Lee Lucas; and brothers, Bobby and Richard Lucas. Billy will always be loved and missed. He is survived by daughters, Sandra Kay Lucas Courts and Pamela Lucas Patsel; grandchildren, Shane Lucas, Sloan Wilson, Sandon Lee Wilson, Shelley Patsel, Storm Manus and Summer Manus; greatgrandchildren, Sarah Annabelle Lucas, Rose Marie Lucas and Angel Dawn Davis; and sister, Marylynn Lucas. There will be no formal funeral service. The family will receive friends at the home on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, throughout the day.
