Savanna Jean Martin

Savanna Jean Martin, 4, of Vinton, Va., went to be with Jesus on Monday morning, September 7, 2009. She is survived by her mother, Crystal Bland Martin; her father, Jason Wayne Martin; her Maw Maw and Paw Paw, Shelby and Larry Campbell, of Roanoke; her grandparents, Mike and Cindy Bland, of Elliston, and Danny and Linda Martin, of Salem; her great-grandparents, Bonnie and Frank Harmon, of Roanoke, Jean Williams, of Blacksburg, and Lucy Martin, of Newport; her special aunt, Heather Hicks and her husband, Brandon, of Roanoke; her special uncles, Jason Campbell and his wife, Sommer, of Roanoke, Michael Bland, of Buchanan, Todd Martin, of Roanoke, and Chad Martin, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her great-aunt and uncle, Glaydene and Charles Hollingsworth, of Roanoke; and cousins, Bailey Stultz, Aubrey Hicks, and Christian Hicks. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Lynn Haven Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward P. Creel officiating. Interment will follow in the Martin Cemetery in Roanoke County. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice, Dr. Luther Beazley, Dr. Joan Fisher, Sue, Dolly, and Mira for all their love, care, and concern during Savanna's illness.
