I was just thinking of you today and everyday. I love and miss you more than anyone will ever know. You only have one best friend in a lifetime and I had you. I am very glad we spent the time together that we had and I am still proud to say that you are my best friend. I love and miss you every minute of the day! I only wish you were here to see how Emmy has grown. It is funny because I have found myself calling her my little buttercup. I tell her about you all the time. She loves to look at my pics of us. Wish you were here to watch her grow with me. Love you bunches!!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Kristen Nicole McDaniel, better known as Nicole aka buttercup we miss you very much. You are one of the most amazing people that ever came into my life.Never did i know that when I sat down beside you on the bus the first day of middle school that we would become bestfriends thoughout highschool. We were inseperatable,we were there for each other for the boys, skaing, shopping, laughs, fight, tears,my grandma, who loved you as one of her own,our parents who gained daughters they couldnt get rid of,the first time getting into real trouble(omg),even my pregnancy,my daughter got your middle name,we made it through everything.Because of our lives we went our seperate ways, but we kept in touch.Everyday I carry my two guardian angels in heart and prayers and I pray daily, and know with you and my grandma flying daily with me i will be okay till we meet again.I love you so much, and will carry that with me till i see you again, and when we do, it will be a joyish and happy day, lots of smiles and tears. To linda and earl,i miss and love you very much, you and the family are in my prayers.Love Always,Tara Schmidt,Shane Stager

While I didnt know Nicole personally, I have known many members of the extended Scoggin family, particularly Tina. Certainly it is heartbreaking to see the senseless end to such a beautiful life! Through Nicole's death, may many other lives be touched and changed by the same God that so loved Nicole. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Earl & Linda

You may or may not remember me; I would pick up Nicole and take her to school the year before she got her permit. We spent time on the school bus, at the skating ring, and in the halls of S.R.H.S. I truly believe even though Buttercup’s time here was short she made her mark on this world and many lives she came in contact with.
Just know I am praying for your family, you all have my deepest sympathy.

You may remember my nickname “bighead”

McDaniel Family,

I have known Nicole for many years, from skating with her and going to school with her. We shared some good times, she always made me laugh! May God bring you peace during this difficult time. Nicole you will always be loved and missed!

September 9, 2009

Linda & Earl,

I feel for you so much, knowing that you gave your all to Nicole and that she was your everything. You were closer to me than my own family at times, I love you both.

Remember the time spent laughing and loving, crying and caring. Through everything, I can honestly say she was the most loving person I knew and my best friend for a long time. We found true love in each other, love that was blind and love that made us crazy at times. I would give anything to have things different.

I'm thankful to have been in her life and only wish there was more time.

Nicole,
I will remember you as my cousin no matter how distant.
I will remember you as my fellow fruit fly activist(even though Mr. Dellis didn't approve.)
I will remember you as my sunshine that made me laugh when I was ready to cry.
I will remember you as a smile in the hallway.
I will remember you as never having an enemy.
I will remember you as a joy to be around.
But most of all I will remember YOU and the way that you touched the hearts of everyone you met.

May God comfort Nicole's family and friends. I pray that you will all feel the warmth and comfort when God puts his arms around you. Although Nicole is gone YOU are still here and can make a difference for Him. Every life has a story and when that person passes from this world I believe there is a story to tell and a lesson to be learned. Tell Nicole's story and learn from it.
I love you Nicole and I'll miss you!
