Virginia Woleben Obituary

Virginia Stafford Woleben, 85, of Vinton, Va., passed on to heaven Thursday, September 17, 2009. She was born May 5, 1924, in Buffalo, N.Y. She was a longtime resident of Brocton, N.Y., before moving to Vinton, in 1988, to be with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Woleben; parents, Roderick M. and Charlotte K. Stafford; and her husband's family, George A. Ella M. and Myrtle Woleben, Harold R. (Madeline) Woleben and Charlotte (Floyd) Sunday. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara W. and Jerome M. Hoer; granddaughter, Nicole L. Munson; sister and brother-inlaw, Phyllis S. and Robert E. Haberer; nieces, Kathy (Fred) TeGarden, Linda (Richard) Prince, Sharon Woleben, Donna (Ken) Garrison, Bonnie (Steve) Erhart; nephews, Danny (Linda) Sunday, and Roderick (Ellen) Haberer. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009, in Portland Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, N.Y. There will be no visitation.
