Kathleen Calloway Hill

Kathleen Calloway Hill, 89, of Salem, Va., passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009. She was born on January 24, 1920, in Roanoke to the late John Henry Calloway and Mattie Etheline Angle Calloway. Kathleen is the widow of Dunbar Hill. Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen Hill Manson, of the home; a niece she called her other daughter, Marguerite (Ronald) Rabb, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a devoted niece, Lilly C. (Sam) Vineyard, of Hollins; nieces, Camille (Swie) Oei, of Rowland Heights, Calif., Claudine (Travis) Huff, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ernestine Hill Ibrehiem, of Boston, Mass.; nephews, Ralph (Ann) Winters, of Broomfield, Colo., and Stephen (Julie) Winters, of Oceanside, Calif.; and other loving family members across the United States and London, England UK. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2009, at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian E. Dowell officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2009, for viewing until 4 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis and viewing will resume 5 p.m. at the church.
