Beecher Elbert Miller

Beecher Elbert Miller, 89, of Brookmont Road, Pulaski, Va., died Monday, September 21, 2009 as the result of an automobile accident. Born October 7, 1919 in Honaker, Virginia, he was the son of the late Shade Miller and Maudie Powers Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Grace Hall Dye Miller, stepdaughter, Mollie Stidham, and several brothers and sisters. He was retired from RAAP with over 36 years of service. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne and Walter Martin, Pearisburg, Va., Linda and Mike Altice, Salem, Kathy and Tim Dye, Pulaski; sons, Lewis Miller, Dublin, Randy Miller, Dublin; stepsons, Tony Dye, Pulaski, Terry and Verina Dye, Norton; grandchildren , Darren and Joy Martin, Jody and Michelle Woolwine, Amber and Tim Wilborne, Missie and Ryan Watson, Mark and Kim Dye, Greg and Chris Dye, Melissa Sue and Randy Campbell, Jessica Miller and Daniel Watkins, Vickie Wilhoit, Tammy Jordan, Robbie Dye, Frankie Dye, Cody Dye, Chris Stidham, Andy Stidham, Kelly Kiser and Penny Kite; 14 greatgrandchildren; brothers, Earl Miller, Honaker, Va., Easley and Mary Ellen Miller, Honaker, Va., Cecil Miller, Honaker, Va., Hassel Miller, Newport, Va.; several nieces and nephews; "Special Pet" Kitty. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski where the V.F.W. Post #1184 will conduct military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
