Donnie Clark Obituary

Donnie Obrine Clark, 68, of Buena Vista, Va., died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at his home. Born April 17, 1941 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Henry Preston Clark and Rosa Floyd Clark. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. He attended the Mt. View Pentecostal Church and retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Mary Sorrells Clark, of Buena Vista; two children, Dean Clark and wife, Bobbie Jo Clark, of Natural Bridge Station and Stacy Clark Cyzick and husband, Zane Cyzick, of Dayton; one sister, Geraldine Ailer, of Staunton; three grandchildren, Jacob Clark, of Lexington, Makayla and Makenzie Cyzick, of Dayton; two stepgrandchildren, James and Brandon Clark, of Natural Bridge Station. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday September 25, 2009 at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Augusta Health Hope Cancer Center. Arrangements by Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home.
