Elizabeth Hall Obituary

Elizabeth Puckett Hall, 94, passed to her eternal reward on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. She was retired from Allegheny Memorial Hospital, Covington, Va. where she served on the nursing staff and as Medical Records Librarian. She was a charter member of Calvary Christian Church in Covington; attended Bethany Christian Church in Roanoke. She was a soloist, loved music, sang in church choirs and the Thursday Morning Music Club Chorus. She is survived by Sherman, her husband of 72 years; son, John, both of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Dana Spencer, of Pensacola, Fla. and Derek Hall and two great-grandsons, of Damascus, Md.; her sister, Litha Anne LeMyre, of Port Jefferson, N.Y.; a nephew, five nieces and four grand-nieces and four grand-nephews from Long Island, New York and Merritt Island, Florida; a niece and grand-niece in California, a niece in Fremont, Ohio; four more nieces from Pulaski, Tenn. and Massachusetts. According to her wishes, a private graveside service will be held later when the family can make travel arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Calvary Christian Church or the Scholarship Fund of the Thursday Morning Music Club.
