Dear Bob and family,
Betty was a very special friend, actually more like a sister. Though separated by miles and time her humor, insights and assurances were always nearby. I know that they will continue to be with you.

Eleanor and family,
Your mother was always the sweetest woman to me. I looked forward to her visits to the beach. Please keep your fond memories of how many good times she had there. You were a very lucky family to have such a jewel in your life. I will always remember her warm smile and the joy that she shared. She was a strong and courageous woman and I know that she has passed that on to her two daughters and grand-daughters. It was so obvious that she loved you all so much. She will no doubt be a busy little angel watching over us all.
With my love,
Cheryl & Jerry Popovec

Dear Bob, Eleanor, Brian, Boyd & Elizabeth and family,
My heart goes out to you guys. Your wife and mom was a special woman. She made me feel like family when I had the joy of spending Thanksgiving and a vacation with you all. She gave our kids gifts when they were born. She took the time to send Christmas cards. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family. I wish I could be there to give each of you a big hug.
My prayers and thoughts are with each of you.
Love,
Jim and Deana

Bob,
Words can't adequately express our true feelings about your enormous loss. Betty was a special friend from our earliest days at Radford. I regret that we did not keep in close touch and get to Virginia to visit the two of you and your lovely family. Our deepest sympathy - our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Pusey Family,
No words can express how sorry we are for your loss. Your mom was like a second mom to me growing up and was always there for us, especially during my dad's illness. She was a special woman and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Bob and children - I can't tell you how sorry I am about Betty - I truly loved her and I love all of you. I have had good intentions to come by to see her and now I hate myself that I didn't get to do that. She was a remarkable woman and one of the most caring person I have ever known. She was a true gem. I had so many good times with her when she would help out in the office and at the great socials we use to have in Engineering Fundamentals. She was always laughing and smiling and there is one story about an surprise anniversary party that I will never forget her telling. It still makes me laugh. I know all of you will miss her - especially you Bob. I can't tell you how much my heart if aching - I loved her and I love you. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you. Please let me know if I can do ANYTHING for you. T.J. called her the "Roll Lady" - he loved her home made rolls.

Memories, memories, what wonderful ones we have of a lovely lady. May they comfort us during this time of grief. Thank you Betty and Bob for sharing your family with me. I love each of them very much. Gibran wrote, "Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation."

To Bob and the entire Pusey Family
I was so sad to hear that Betty is gone. My heart aches for all of you, but I am so thankful to have known your mother. She has made an indelible mark on MY life, and so many others. She was a great teacher, about life and how to live it! She was a true friend to my mother and I will always be grateful for that.
I am very sure that for years to come, I will remember the sweetness and strength of Betty and call upon those memories in getting through some tough times.
The visit I had with Betty a few weeks ago will be a treasured memory. I am so thankful for it.
You all have my sincere sympathy, for you have lost someone so special. At the same time, I am so happy for all of you that you had her in your life.
Love, Nancy Douglass Allen
