Bruce Edward Herman

Bruce Edward Herman, 54, of Galax, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, in Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tenn. Bruce was born on March 13, 1955, in Clifton Forge, Va., to Berlin Edward Herman Jr. and Jacquelyn Hughes Woodrum Herman. He is survived by his wife, Laura Lee Herman, of Rockville, Md.; daughters, Becky Herman, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tori Herman, of Rockville, Md.; son, Ross Herman, of Philadelphia, Pa.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kent and Teresa Herman, of Lexington, N.C., and Eric and Sherry Herman, of Woodlawn, Va.; niece, Callie Herman; and nephews, Logan Herman and Ian Herman. The funeral service will be held 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2009, in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Dr. Tom Whartenby officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Union Chapel Cemetery in Hot Springs, Va. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
