Roger King Obituary

Mr. Roger Lee King, 49, of 329 S. 5th Avenue, Mayodan, N.C., died on Monday, September 28, 2009, at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. Mr. King was born on October 9, 1959, in Roanoke County, Va., to David Everete King and Lucille Ruth Sampson King. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carol Grubb King; children, Christopher Allen King and Amber Renee King, both of Mayodan; sisters, Jane Angle and Shirley Karnes, both of Vinton, Va.; and brothers, William King, of Roanoke, and David Allen King, of Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the funeral home and all other times at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 222 S. Church St., Ste. 336M, Charlotte, N.C. 28202. Ray Funeral Home in Madison, N.C., 336-548-9606, is serving the family.
