HERBERT ( SHORTY ) WAS ONE OF A KIND. I ENJOYED TALKING WITH HIM, AND ALWAYS TEASING HIM. HE SEEMED TO ENJOY THE TEASING, BECAUSE HE ALWAYS WAS QUICK TO COME BACK WITH HIS OWN TEASING. I FIRST MET SHORTY IN 1958. I WORKED AT NOLAND CO, HE WAS WORKING WITH DICKERSON AND TRENT PLUMBING. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT SEE SHORTY IN THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, HE LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION WITH ME.MAY OUR LORD AND SAVIOR BE WITH YOU IN THESE TIMES OF SORROW.

Mom called today and told me of Uncle Herbert's passing. I am so sorry to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love to you all.
