I just heard the news today and can't express how saddened I am. My heart and prayers go out to you all. Missy was one of my best friends from grade school and I can't help but think of how much fun she was and how much I adored her. She is greatly missed in so many ways.

Joe and Jeri,
I am so upset and sorrowed about Melissa's death. I am heartbroken. She was one of my dearest friends and I will miss her so incredibly much. She was such fun! Always laughing and poking fun. She was always worried about me and everyone. She wanted to help in every situation to make it better. She was a fine, wonderful, and beautiful friend. You were blessed to have her as a daughter. She loved her family so much. I loved her so much too. I will be praying for you and your family. Just know that my thoughts are with you and if there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.

The DeVault family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was a student at Drewry Mason High School in Ridgeway in the 80s where her father was principal and she and her brother, Andy attended. I always admired Mr. DeVault and his down-to-earth family. I fondly recall Melissa with her humor, enthusiasm, and wit. She will be missed ...
