Evelyn Leftwich Obituary

Evelyn Murrell Leftwich, 89, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening, October 7, 2009. The widow of Robert W. Leftwich, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Murrell Sr., James Murrell and Elbourn Jack Murrell; sisters, Edith Graham and Gladys Murrell; and nephews, George Murrell Jr. and Danny Harth. Mrs. Leftwich was a member of Connelly Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from Murrell's Fine Foods. Surviving are her son, David Leigh Murrell and wife, Lynn; nephews, Albert Murrell, Anthony Murrell, Jody Murrell, David "Michael" Murrell, Troy Murrell, Christopher Murrell, Timothy Ostendorf, John Cochran and Kevin Harth; nieces, Barbara Cochran, Billie Frost, Martha Harth, Peggy Mills, Jan Murrell, Peggy Murrell, Misty Murrell, Virginia Givens, Cyndi Moore, Lorretta McDonald, Evelyn Hale and Ramona Muehlendyck; and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Rick Elmore will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Friday at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.

David and family,
Mom and I are sending you prayers and hope you will call us if you need anything. Evelyn was a very nice lady and always thinking of everyone else first.She will be missed tremenously.
