Larry James Graham

Larry James Graham, 59, of Goodview, Va., passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. He was born on November 26, 1949, the son of the late Raymond H. Graham. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Debra G. Blankenship. When Larry was a teenager he Trusted The Lord and became a member of Connelly Memorial Baptist Church. He graduated from William Fleming High School. He joined the Air Force and went into Air Traffic Control. He served 12 years and was stationed in Korea. He was involved with saving many lives. When he left the Air Force he came home and went to work for Old Dominion Trucking Company and then went to driving for Advance Auto Parts. He loved to play golf and had lots of friends that loved to travel on golfing trips. He really enjoyed the Nascar Racing. Surviving are his mother, Avis G. Lovell and stepdad, Troy, of Roanoke; stepmom, Sylvia M. Graham; two brothers, Philip Graham and Dale Graham; two nephews, Eric Graham and Kent Blankenship; four great-nephews, Joshua, Tyler, Kabel and Kenneth; and greatniece, Kelsea. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Andy Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
