Maxine Drummond Obituary

Maxine Stone Drummond, of Christiansburg, Va., formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2009. Maxine and her beloved husband of 61 years, John (Jack) Drummond, are together again in Heaven. She was loved by all who knew her and always blessed others with her wonderful sense of humor and unique personality. Jack and "Max" lived life to the fullest, whether traveling to visit friends and family, or to the Outback of Australia, it was an adventure for her and she made the very best of her life experiences. She served her country during World War II in the Coast Guard. When visiting "Max" you could always count on a smile on her face and something cooking in her kitchen from a recipe out of her 100's of cookbooks. She always made you feel welcome to her home and made time for your visit. She was a woman of many talents and interests. Maxine was born in Ringwood, Okla., on September 10, 1920. She was preceded in death by her father, Ross R. Stone; mother, Ethel M. Stone; sisters, Ferne Walker and Juanita Babbit; and brother, Bill Stone.
