Steven Myers Obituary

Steven William Myers, 59, of Doe Creek Road, Pembroke, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at his home after a long illness. Born in Montgomery County on April 20, 1950, he was a son of Fannie Mae Williams Myers, of the home, and the late Albert Hampton Myers. He was a graduate of Giles High School and retired from Lynchburg Foundry at Radford. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Chris Myers; and a brother, Albert Myers Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother with whom he made his home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Kim Myers, of Mt. Lake, and Anthony and Melissa Myers, of Pearisburg; his six grandchildren, (and was expecting a great-grandchild in April); his sister, Lois M. Anderson, of Pembroke; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Strother Williams Cemetery at Boyd's Chapel on the Brickyard Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. before the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
