Steven William Myers

Steven William Myers, 59, of Doe Creek Road, Pembroke, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at his home after a long illness. Born in Montgomery County on April 20, 1950, he was a son of Fannie Mae Williams Myers, of the home, and the late Albert Hampton Myers. He was a graduate of Giles High School and retired from Lynchburg Foundry at Radford. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Chris Myers; and a brother, Albert Myers Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother with whom he made his home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Kim Myers, of Mt. Lake, and Anthony and Melissa Myers, of Pearisburg; his six grandchildren, (and was expecting a great-grandchild in April); his sister, Lois M. Anderson, of Pembroke; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Strother Williams Cemetery at Boyd's Chapel on the Brickyard Road.
