Ronald Johnston Obituary

Ronald Lee Johnston, 59, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. "Ronnie" was the beloved son of Rathma Frazier Johnston, of Salem, Va., and the late Eldridge Kendell Johnston. He is also survived by a sister, Vickie Anderson, of Salem, Va.; and a brother, David Johnston, of Daleville, Va. Ronnie had many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Ronnie was one of God's angels who was sent to this earth to teach those who cared for him about God's love. He was the love of his Mother's life. Ronnie was a patient at Central Virginia Training Center in Lynchburg, Va., for 46 years. The family wishes to thank all those who helped care for him during his life there at the center. A private family graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens with Pastor William Frazier officiating. His family's wishes were that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the National Autism Society of America, www. autism-society.org or The Blue Ridge Autism Center in Roanoke, Va., www. blueridgeautismcenter.com. Arrangements by Oakey's East Chapel, 540-977-3909.
