Louise Hilton Obituary

Louise Elizabeth Hilton, 85, of Newport, Va., departed this life Tuesday morning, October 27, 2009, at Heritage Hall Health Care, in Blacksburg. Born in Dorchester, Mass. on July 20, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah Tagen Williams. She was a veteran of the United States Army (WAC) in World War II, had been employed as a retail clerk in a pharmacy and helped her late husband, Paul S. Hilton, in his auction business. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia H. and Lance Hutton, of New Castle, Va.; her granddaughter, Stephanie Smith, of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Bree-ann Guthrie, Brittney Mathis and Nevah Hughes; her brother, Robert Williams, of Taunton, Mass.; and her sister-in-law, Mona Hilton, of Ripplemead, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following at the Level Green Church Cemetery in Craig County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
