Geneva Weddle Obituary

Geneva Essie Moles Weddle, 81, of Willis, Va., passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009, at the New River Valley Medical Center, Radford, Va. A member of the Topeco Church of the Brethren, Geneva was a loving person, always putting others care before her own. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, John David Weddle, a Vietnam veteran, who passed away in April 2009. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Alton H. Weddle Sr., of Willis, Va.; one daughter, Darnell Harris, of Willis, Va.; two sons and their wives, Steve Weddle and Sandy, of Raleigh, N.C., and Tony Weddle and Vona, of Willis, Va.; sister, Glenna Mabry; brothers, Harlis Moles and Alvin Moles; grandchildren, Larry Wayne Harris, Brandon Weddle, Christie Weddle, Tracie Young, all of Willis, and Eric Weddle, of Raleigh, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, John Robert Harris and Tyler Young, both of Willis. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Topeco Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Mike Varner and the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in the Topeco Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at the Maberry Funeral Home. Sharon and I are so sorry to hear of Genevas passing.We enjoyed our visit with your family some time ago! I have many good memories of visits when I was just a kid. Our prayer is that God will strengthen you in the days to come. Darvin and Sharon Conner,Princeton,West Virginia
