Jenilou Johnson Eades

Jenilou Johnson Eades, 71, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with the Lord in eternity on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at 3:15 a.m. She is survived by her husband, John Edward Eades; her daughter, Lori Eades Carnes and her husband, Mark Carnes, and their three sons, Jadon, Ryder, and Baylon; her son, David Edward Eades and his wife, Sara Lang Eades, and their son, Archer; and her sisters, Emily Jean Boone and Jacqueline Johnson Garber. Jenilou was the daughter of the late Jack and Jeannette Johnson, of Roanoke, Va. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va. Jenilou was a graduate of Jefferson High School and Roanoke College and taught in the Roanoke County School System for over 40 years and impacted countless lives through her generosity and service. She loved music and the arts and served as part of the Thursday Morning Music Club and the Calvary Baptist Church Choir in Roanoke, Va. She also loved spending time with her family and took special joy in her grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel at 4257 Brambleton Ave., SW, in Roanoke on Thursday, November 5, 2009, between 6 and 8 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church at 608 Campbell Ave. in Roanoke, Va., with the Rev. Donna Hopkins Britt officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Music Fund of Calvary Baptist Church or to The Calvary Baptist Foundation.
