Vada Scott Tripp

Vada Scott Tripp, 89, of Buena Vista, Va., died on Friday, November 6, 2009, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1920, in Buena Vista, daughter of the late Matthew and Russell Campbell Scott. Mrs. Tripp was a member of Lexington North Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. Surviving are a son, Basil R. Tripp and wife, Joanne; three grandchildren, Gregory Tripp, Jeffery Tripp and wife, Christie, and Carolyn Smith and husband, Graham; and five great-grandchildren, all of Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Ken Kurpik serving as minister. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Va.
