Dear Diane & Family,

I think I was probably Tom's longest roommate at the Academy including a portion of our trials and tribulations as plebes.

I'll always remember Tom's determination to make it through those trying days... and even more his devotion to you “Diane" through it all... writing you as though you were already his Wife! And he made it so clear to us that you would be his Wife one day. There was never any doubt!

I am so happy I was able to slip into Florida to see you two between the hurricanes after our Class’ 40th Class Reunion.

Please accept our sincere condolences,

P.S. - Judy & I are now veteran volunteers with "Retrouvaille"!

Dear Diane: Our thoughts and prayers are with you & your family at this time of great loss. Unfortunately, I was out of town on a business trip and did not get word of Tom's passing in time for Pat and me to attend his funeral service. May the memories of the wonderful times you have spent together provide some comfort in your time of loss. Most sincerely, Kevin Delaney '68

Diane and family,
Tom and I were roommates during Plebe summer and later in Plebe year. He helped me often during that difficult time. After duties were finished, he often wrote you Diane and you meant so much to him. I am saddened to have lost a close friend. John Harty III '68.

Dear Diane and Family, I was one of Tom's Naval Academy Classmates and was proud to know Tom from our early days in the 4th Company to our graduation. He was truly a great guy and an outstanding member of the class of 1968. I, along with his class and shipmates will truly miss him and send our condolences. I was so happy that we could hear his voice during our 40th re-union. Thanks Tom for all you did for our Navy, our Nation and for being a great friend.
