Charles Matthew Dunford

Charles Matthew Dunford, 63, of Dublin, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at his home in Dublin. He was born August 12, 1946 in Wythe County, Va. the son of the late Samuel Matthew and Willie Mae Ratcliffe Dunford. He is survived by two sons, Michael Dunford, Pearisburg, Jess Dunford, Roanoke; special daughter, Melinda Stafford, Dublin; one grandson, Chris Pierce, Pearisburg; one brother, Dewey Dunford, Dublin; five sisters, Mary Williamson, Roanoke, Gladys (Marshall) Ralston, Blue Ridge, Joyce Weeks, Roanoke, Lois (Kenny) Cawley, Roanoke, Myrtle (B.P.) Smiley, Richmond. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. Jerry Otey and the Rev. Kenneth Fogus officiating. Burial in the Jones Cemetery, Max Meadows, Va. The visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home after 2 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
