Martha Eamigh Stevens

Martha Eamigh Stevens, 92, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 13, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh and Matilda Osborne Campbell; husbands, Ernest Eamigh and Earl Stevens; and her brothers and sisters. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Shelba Polson and husband, Karl, of Pulaski; grandchildren, John Booth and wife, Delia, of Christiansburg, Patti Grummett and husband, Les, of Enfield, Conn., Mark Booth and wife, Tammy, of New Castle; eight greatgrandchildren, six great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Madge Franklin, of New Castle; special friend, Hazel Sabal, of Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests that memorials be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Gideons, or the Salvation Army. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 625 Churchland Road N.W. by the Rev. Ron Buchanan. Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery.
