I am so sorry about you mom. She was the sweetest lady. I remember her visiting Richmond and wearing the Ritz robe, reading on the screened porch and feeling just like a queen. She was so kind to Isabella and William. Always asking how they were doing and waving from the porch.I know you are missing her Chris. I wish I were in Roanoke to give you a big hug. I love you both.

Scott, Chris, & Tim, I have been thinking back to your mother's much younger years when we were more than cousins and had good times along with Dot. I am thankful that your mother & I had such a nice visit back in June in Lynchburg at Norma & Lew's anniversary. I am so sad and wish for you to know my thoughts are with you.

Scott,Chris & Tim,
Your Mom meant the world to Pat and I. She was the most wonderful neighbor and friend. Even after we moved away to SC, we still talked often. It was so good to see her in September, when Pat passed away. I will miss chatting with her every few weeks. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thanks to my dear next-door neighbors, Dorothy and Yancey McGann, I was fortunate to get to meet Joanne and to keep up with her through the regular phone conversations she had with Yancey and her sister. So it grieved me to hear of her sudden demise. But she was dearly loved, respected, and highly valued by all of us fortunate enough to know her. May she find peace now.

Time passes so fast and we regret the things we did not do. We always loved you Joanne, but we never took the time to tell you or to spend time with you or call you... may you find joy and peace in your new home...
