Andrew Daniel St. Clair

Andrew Daniel (Andy) St. Clair, 74, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, after his courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 4, 1935, the son of the late Arthur Davis St. Clair and Effie Mae Fielder St. Clair. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Doug, Deannie, Buck, Albert and JT; one sister, Liz; and one sister-inlaw, Lois Lafon Thomas. He retired from Yokohama Tire Company where he worked for over 20 years. He proudly served in the United States Army, leaving with the rank of Sergeant. Surviving are his wife, Delena St. Clair, of Salem; son, Minor David St. Clair and wife, Dana, of Lindenhurst, Ill.; two grandchildren, Cale Andrew and Leah Faith St. Clair; brothers-in-law, Jack Lafon, of Salem, John Lafon and wife, Estelle, of Goodview, Buddy Lafon and wife, Frances, of Delaware; sisters-in-law, Emma St. Clair, Ruby St. Clair, both of Roanoke; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Scott Obenchain officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
