Eugene Evans Obituary

Eugene E. Evans, 95, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in the Virginia Veterans Care Center. Mr. Evans was a World War II veteran serving in the Europe Conflict with the 82nd Medical Battalion as a Field Medic where he received several commendations. He spent some his retirement volunteering at the VA Hospital helping others. Surviving are a son, James Evans, of Roanoke; daughter, Beth McCreery and husband, Joel, of South Carolina; step son, Steven Price, of Saltville; and five grandchildren, Justin and Jessica Evans, Meghan and Dylan McCreery and Jared Foutz. The family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in his name. Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory, 540-366-0707.
