Herbert Andrews Memoriam

In Loving Memory of Herbert Hoover ANDREWS August 9, 1928 ~ December 8, 1997
You had a smile, a pleasant way, a helping hand to all you knew. You were so kind, so generous and true. You had a nature that people could not help loving, and a heart that was purer than gold; and to those who knew and loved you, your memory will never grow old. The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away. Deep in our hearts you'll always stay, loved and remembered every day. You gave us many things in life, some great and some small, but most of all you gave us love, the greatest gift of all.
Much Love, Bet and Family

Hoover, along with Ford Mayhew, were two of my favorite people to visit us when I was growing up in Floyd County. I believe it was Hoover who was along with me out hunting when I stepped over a fallen tree and into a bees nest in the ground. Folks may not believe you can undress while running, but I sure did it! And I believe he was part of a diff party who went hunting down one side of the hills when, unknowingly, another party was coming down the other side. They discovered each other when both parties began shooting at the same squirrel up on the knoll. Good thing they weren't rabbit hunting! I am sure all who knew him miss Hoover very, very much.
