Josie Parrino Biggs

Josie Parrino Biggs, 92, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009. She was born on January 2, 1917, in Cheneyville, La. In celebration and memory of the life of Josie Parrino Biggs who lived life in the service of family, friends and those in need of comfort who went to be with the Lord, who she took incredible comfort with and also had a special relationship with. Waiting for her in heaven are her parents, Joseph and Annie Parrino; her six sisters, Ann Henderson, Nena Scortino, Lena Adams, Genevive Zaumbrecher, Lucille Hudson and Rose Thorne. Josie is now doing what she does best, looking over her three children, Sandra, Ricky and Chris Biggs; her grandchildren, Keva Albaral, Scott Biggs and Sean Biggs; great-grandchildren, Ricky, Robbie, Karli and Ashlee; three sisters, Sara Moran, Mamie Parrino and Mary Cerami; and close family friend, Ann Chrismond. Her life is a Testament to her faith in the Lord and her children. "Mother, we love you and you will forever be in our hearts, minds, and will forever guide our lives, we want to say "thank you for being our mother, your faith is unshakeable." Interment to take place at a later date in Lakelawn Cemetery, Metairie, La. The Biggs family is being served by Horne Funeral Service.
