Etta Cooper Obituary

Etta Bernice Cooper, 90, of Rocky Mount, Va., died Friday, December 11, 2009. She was born September 24, 1919, a daughter of the late Harry and Oveida Greer. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew Cooper; daughters, Harriet Vaught and Dana Cooper; two grandsons, Randy Gusler and George Michael Cooper; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lannie and Juanita Cooper, "Pug" and Doreta Cooper, and Rocky and Christine Cooper; 10 grandchildren, Terry Gusler, Dean Gusler, Steven Cooper, Rita Bower, Jackie Cooper, Tressa Mitchell, Molly Mullins, Hank Cooper, Jackie Cooper, and Becky Cooper; 18 greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat-grandchild; three brothers; and four sisters. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 11 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2009, with the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 13, 2009, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount. www.lynchconnerbowman.com In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Franklin County Rescue Squad.
