Jane and Dan Riddle

Dan and I are so sorry to hear of Claudine's death. She was a bright shining light and always a joy to be around. We are glad that we were able to visit with her a few months ago. She was so alive and animated and glad to see her good friends that were with us - Phyllis Eanes and Ann Black. She was one of my mother's (Mary Kay Pulliam) best friends and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Claudine. We have a couple of her beautiful paintings on our walls and think about her every time we pass one of them. Our hearts go out to you all. Penny and Danny - the two that I know - your mom will always be with you, giving you strength and wonderful memories. She was a very special lady. Very sincerely, Dan and Jane Pulliam Riddle

Hello, my Mom considered Claudine one of her best friends all the time they were growing up in SE. They were both members of the "Sagacious Seven", a group of pert, cute, bright girls at Jefferson High..any guy who was interested had to past muster from the other 6! I think Claudine was her Maid/Matron of Honor at her wedding to my Dad. Her name was Frances Lois Meador ( Smith), my dad was Arthur "nurmi" Smith. For most of my life, we loved getting Mom to talk about her "younger days" ( i.e. before kids! ) and she would talk about Claudine a lot; also Ralph; that was a real love match. I thought you would want to know that my Mom adored Claudine all of her life, and always thought of her as one of her best friends. She died about 15 years ago, and my Day about 5. I miss them every day. I was glad to have this opportunity to relive such happy memories. I hope they are all together again now. God bless, Susan Smith. [email protected]
