Morris Dudley Obituary

Morris Wayne Dudley, of Christiansburg, Va., fell asleep in the arms of God on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at 10:43 p.m. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Maxine C. Dudley; and his daughter, Christina M. Dudley, also of Christiansburg. Other surviving family members include his mother, Helen E. Dudley; his three sisters, Carolyn Dehart, Evelyn Ratcliffe, and Margaret Preston; as well as close friends and brothers-in-law, Edgar Dehart and Donald Preston; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. The family would also like to extend their thanks to Mr. Eddy Collins and his family for their support and help throughout his transition; to Mr. Tim Archer, for his support and love; and to Mr. and Mrs. Chimer D. Clark, of Richlands, N.C., brother and sister-in-law of his wife, Maxine, for their unfailing love and friendship throughout the years. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ellis Meredith officiating. Interment will follow in the Dudley Family Cemetery, Fagg, Va. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
