Thomas Newby Obituary

Thomas J. (Tom) Newby, 43, of New Castle, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Janet Newby; and a sister, Donna Hallisey. He is survived by his wife of 19 years,, Tina Newby; son Travis Newby and fiancee, Melody; daughter, Emily Newby; son, Andrew Newby; grandson, Hunter Newby; brother, Larry Newby; sister and brother-in-law, Doris Mitchell and husband, Bob; mother-in-law, Ann Price; brother-in-law, Ricky Bryant; sister-in-law, Sandy Hutchison and fiance, Chet; brotherin-law, Mike Bryant and wife, Jenny; sister-in-law, Theresa Price and fiance, Maynard; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Al Erber. A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Paitsel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jere King officiating. The family will receive friends the same night for visitation one hour prior to the memorial service and after until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paitsel Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Tina, Travis, Emily, and Andrew,
I want you to know that I am so sorry and very sadden of the passing of Tom. I thought the world of Tom and will always remember the good times we would have while working. He was like a big brother to me and a friend that could not be replaced. Tom and I go way back and the memories I have of him will always stay close to my heart. I am going to miss you my friend. Tina, if you ever need someone to talk to you have my number I will always be here for you to lend a listening ear. Travis man I am so sorry about your dad, if you ever need anything you call me and I will be there for you. Your mom has my numbers. Emily and Andrew please know that your dad was a good man and I for one will always remember him. My heart goes out to each of you. May God be with you and Bless you each and every day. May you know that friends are here for you all. Rest in Peace my dear and old friend I know I for one will never ever forget you. I am going to miss you until we meet again.
